These terms govern your use of Yedede, operated by [Yedede — registered entity name]. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Who can use Yedede
You must be at least 15 years old. By signing up you confirm that you meet this age requirement, that the information you give us is accurate, and that you are not barred from using the service under applicable law or by a previous suspension.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
- One person, one account. Do not impersonate anyone or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
- You can delete your account at any time from your settings.
3. Your content stays yours
You keep ownership of everything you post. To operate the service we need permission to handle it, so you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, transcode, reproduce and display your content, and to distribute it to other users through the app.
This licence exists so we can run Yedede — nothing more. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except that copies may persist briefly in backups, and content others have already lawfully re-shared or that we must retain for legal or moderation reasons may remain.
You confirm that you have the rights to what you post, including any music, footage or likeness of other people appearing in it.
4. What you may not do
Do not post or do any of the following:
- Sexual content involving minors, or any sexualisation of a minor. This results in immediate removal and a report to the authorities.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery, or sexual content posted without the consent of those shown.
- Content that threatens, incites or glorifies violence, or promotes terrorism or a violent extremist cause.
- Harassment, bullying, stalking, or coordinated attacks on a person or group.
- Hate speech targeting people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, disease, age, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation.
- Content promoting self-harm, suicide or eating disorders.
- Dangerous acts presented as challenges likely to cause serious injury.
- Content that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights.
- Another person’s private information, posted without their permission.
- Spam, scams, deceptive engagement schemes, or artificial inflation of metrics.
- Scraping, reverse engineering, or interfering with the security or integrity of the service.
- Automated access except through an interface we have expressly authorised.
5. Moderation and enforcement
Content is screened automatically, and users can report anything they see. When content appears to break these rules we may hide it, remove it, limit its distribution, or suspend the account responsible. For serious or repeated violations we may terminate an account without prior notice.
Automated screening is imperfect in both directions. If you believe we got it wrong, contact us and a person will look at it.
6. Live streaming
These rules apply to live broadcasts exactly as they do to posts, and they apply in real time. Streams may be monitored, interrupted or ended if they appear to breach these terms, and a recording may be retained for moderation purposes. Live sessions are time-limited, and may be saved as a regular post afterwards.
7. AI-generated music
Yedede can generate music for Story Cards. This generation is automated, you may use the result in the Story Card it was made for, and we make no representation that any generated track is unique or free of resemblance to existing work. Generation is subject to fair-use limits per day, which we may adjust.
8. Our intellectual property
The Yedede name, logo, interface and software are ours and are protected by intellectual property law. These terms give you no right to use our branding without written permission.
9. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on Yedede infringes your copyright, contact us with enough detail to identify the work and the post, and a statement that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them. We remove infringing content and may suspend repeat infringers.
10. Third-party services
Yedede relies on third parties for hosting, video delivery and other functions, as set out in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for their services, and external links in user content are not endorsements.
11. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time. We will give reasonable notice of a material change where we can, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability — and while the service is in early release you should expect occasional interruption and the possibility of data loss.
12. Termination
You may stop using Yedede and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect other users. The content-licence wind-down in section 3 survives termination.
13. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that content posted by other users is accurate, lawful or safe. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data, goodwill or content, arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months, or the minimum permitted by applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as permitted.
15. Changes to these terms
We will update the date at the top when these terms change and give notice in the app before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use Yedede after that point means you accept the revised terms.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [country/state whose law governs], and disputes are subject to the courts of [country/state whose law governs]. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of your own country of residence.
